Made in the shade - Extra Bodyfit - Brief Article

Muscle & Fitness/Hers,  July, 2002

What you eat may help "shade" your skin from the sun's damaging rays, Australian scientists say. When they studied the diets of people living in Australia, Greece and Sweden, they found that those following a diet high in antioxidants seemed to enjoy protection from the sun's worst skin damage. In particular, the researchers list legumes, olive oil and vegetables as high-SPF foods; low-SPF foods include butter, full-fat dairy foods and meat.
