Stretching cell phone technology to the limit

Muscle & Fitness/Hers,  April, 2004  by Nikki Carosone

Hello. This is your Pilates mat class calling. In partnership with Mobile-Mind, top NYC Pilates instructor Alycea Ungaro now offers a "portable Pilates series." This downloadable program takes poses from Ungaro's Body In Motion Pilates book and CD, and beams them to your cell phone video screen.

It also sends you workout reminders and enables you to record your workouts in a Web-based journal. Beginning this spring, it'll be distributed by Verizon and several other national cell service providers. Ungaro notes that receiving pictures of Pilates moves that you can do anytime, anywhere, is a great tool for both diehards and novices interested in learning the basics. After all, who couldn't use an extra "Hundred" in her pocket?
