Amazing Anderson

Muscle & Fitness/Hers,  Feb, 2004

I really appreciate the new, more realistic approach to fitness that the November issue contains. I'm 48 years old, and I want fitness information and models for the real world. All the models look great and Dinah Anderson ["Second Leg"] just knocked my dumbbells off! Forget looking that awesome at 25, she is UNBELIEVABLE! Many thanks for the new, improved version for your magazine. My subscription had expired with the November issue. I renewed today.

I'm a woman about to turn 49, and I've recently had a period in my life where my fitness level has gone down. I attributed this to aging and believed I was at a point where I had to accept the fact that I'm getting older and it's bound to happen. When I read your article about Dinah Anderson and saw her pictures, I was amazed. A healthy lifestyle can truly make one fit and attractive at any age. Needless to say, I've revived my program and have new incentive. Dinah is an inspiration to all of us older woman out there because we don't have to accept what society makes us feel is inevitable.

The "Second Leg" article featuring Dinah Anderson was WONDERFUL! This article is just what I needed to keep me motivated. I've always wanted to compete professionally, but like many, I shied away because of stereotyping. I'm on my second leg, so to speak. Having just reached my 40th birthday, I've been seriously pursuing my dream for a little over a year. I've wanted to throw in the towel many times because I felt I was too old, but after seeing the pictures of Dinah, she looks great, and the article was very inspiring, as well. I may never compete professionally, but I know that if I keep up my training habits and nutritional guidelines, I can achieve what I view as the perfect body. Dinah is living proof that age is nothing but a number.
