Sunrise Telecom has shipped for revenue more than 25,000 units, including both chassis and modules, in the year 2000, and has shipped over 50,000 units since initial product shipments in 1992. This increase in the current year is due mainly to the growth in the deployment in DSL services with associated demand from field technicians and DSLAM applications. The DSL product family, including the SunSet xDSL, provides leading verification tools to both ILECs and CLECs around the globe.

The handheld SunSet xDSL provides physical line measurement capabilities such as time domain reflectormeter (TDR), power spectral density (PSD), as well as modular modem emulation to verify items such as bandwidth, noise margin, and service verification. The SunSet xDSL is the only such test set which also incorporates a full complement of DSL-tailored physical layer measurements for proper loop qualification and maintenance testing.
