Before investing in equipment and software, Wachovia decided to validate its concept for improved service. During a month-long proof-of-performance test, Dunn Systems developed and managed a business simulation that modeled customer usage during peak use times. Using Mercury LoadRunner software, Dunn profiled Wachovia's 12 typical customer types, multiplied the typical customers and their transactions to reflect current and projected on-line use, and illustrated where and when upgrades would be necessary.

Dunn Systems directed testing initiatives and trained Wachovia employees in the use of the simulation software while enhancements to the Internet banking service were being implemented. Use of the new simulation system can enable Wachovia to direct future upgrades of its on-line banking service and confirm that they are necessary and timely.
