Whistleblower uncovers sludge dumping - National Whistleblower Center calls for investigation of the Environmental Protection Agency's withholding of information on farmland sludge dumping dangers

Healthy & Natural Journal,  Oct, 2000

The National Whistleblower Center is calling for a formal investigation into the Environmental Protection Agency for its role in covering up the potential dangers of dumping sludge on farmland. The center has made a formal request of EP director Carol M. Browner based on reports by EPA microbiologist Dr.

David Lewis and the Centers for Disease Control that the sludge contains E. coli, salmonella, hepatitis viruses and other pathogens. The National Whistleblower Center, created in 1988, is a nonprofit, tax exempt organization that advocates the rights of employees to report on government waste, fraud and threats to public health and safety.
