AORN Journal,  July, 2005

An article on innovations in cutting technology states, "Should the laser turn out to be safe, it could have a host of applications." * News in ORbit says that the use of plastic replacements for diseased corneas is imminent. * The Journal reports that artificial sweeteners, including saccharin, have been judged by the US Food., and Drug Administration (FDA) to be safe for dietary use.

Another news item discusses a new cap for scrub nurses that was designed to protect "today's bouffant hair styles."
