AORN Journal, Jan, 2005
Nominating Committee members work together to prepare and present an annual slate of candidates for national offices. They also act as tellers for the election at Congress. The committee is composed of five members who are elected by the House of Delegates at Congress. The immediate AORN past President serves as the advisor for this committee. The chair is elected by members of the committee.
At the 2005 Congress, delegates will elect two new members to the Nominating Committee. Three members continue in their two-year terms to provide continuity. Nominating Committee members will be wearing lavender ribbons at Congress, and candidates will be wearing light green ribbons. The caption under each Nominating Committee member's photograph identifies the person's job title and location and the year his or her term expires.
