FORT LAUDERDALE -- Mars Music is getting bigger faster. The operator of 36 music superstores will open an additional six units next month as it marches toward a potential public stock offering. The openings represent the chain's most aggressive expansion to date. Locations slated to open in August include Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Omaha, Neb., Orange County, Calif., and Denver and Aurora, Cob.
The company was founded by former Office Depot president Mark Begelman in 1997.
