Sleep on This: Obesity has been linked to sleep loss. After crunching the numbers on over 1,000 participants in a study, researchers found that roughly 8 hours of sleep correlates to a lower body mass, lower levels of a hormone that triggers appetite and higher levels of a hormone that signals the body that it's full.
