VegeCyber Mock Fish - Brief Article

Vegetarian Journal,  Sept, 2001

We recently received information about VegeCyber Inc., an online retailer selling vegetarian products. The webmaster for their site wrote and said, "... several years ago Vegetarian Journal had some special recipes using the veggie seafood/ meat from Good Taste (the former retail store) and then the company started to get requests from individuals who wanted to order our products. That's how our retail mail-order business got started in the first place. VRG and VegeCyber have very good karma going back a long way."

We looked at their online catalog and learned that they offer many hard-to-find Asian-style mock meats, such as "salmon," "squid," "shrimp," "crab," and even "fried eggs" (made from lotus root and soy). They also offer more standard fare, such as faux beef, tuna, ham, and chicken. It appears that about 75% of their products are vegan and the majority are soy-based. One of the VRG staff members ordered a few products and said the customer service and shipping fulfillment were excellent and the products were delicious and easy to prepare.

If you are looking for vegetarian products outside of the veggie burger norm, check VegeCyber out at <www.vegecyber.com>. If you would like 5% of your purchase to be donated to VRG, enter the code 2037VR on the order form.
