Enjoy Multicolored Mayhem on the Lanes with Total Chaos - Brief Article

Bowling Digest,  August, 2000

COLUMBIA 300 HAS INTRODUCED ITS first multicolored cover stock in its trademark TEC (Texture Energy Control) design with the newest ball in its Chaos line: Total Chaos.

The new ball features Pulse core technology, a high-density polymer core coupled with an offset low-density mass bias puck. Total Chaos sports Columbia's TEC cover stock, which incorporates a reactive cover with suspended particles. The combination promotes early roll and more flare potential, punctuated by an additional hook in oil that retains enough energy to flip on the back end.

"We're excited to be introducing our first multicolored TEC cover stock with Total Chaos," says Columbia 300 sales and marketing vice president Roger Vessell. "It's a great-looking ball and the perfect addition to the Chaos series."

Total Chaos boasts a hook rating of 23. With its Pulse core technology, the new ball has a 2.512 radius of gyration with a 0.40 differential in the 16-pound weight; a 2.543 RG and 0.40 differential in the 15-pound weight; and a 2.582 RG and 0.30 differential in the 14-pound weight. It has a hardness rating of 75-78, and its TEC cover stock is finished with a factory finish.

Total Chaos is the fourth ball in Columbia 300's Chaos series, joining Chaos, Complete Chaos, and Extreme Chaos. The new ball is blue-green with red engraving. Total Chaos is available in weights from 10 to 16 pounds.
