VSIA Releases Test Data Interchange Formats

Electronic News,  July 26, 1999  by Ann Steffora

The Virtual Socket Interface Alliance (VSIA) today is releasing a set of specifications that define formats for exchanging test data between virtual component (VC) providers and test integrators. VSIA expects these specifications to enable the system-on-a-chip (SOC) industry to test SOCs composed of VCs from different vendors.

Developed by VSIA's Manufacturing Related Test, Development Working Group and entitled, "Test Data Interchange Formats and Guidelines for VC Providers, Version 1.0," the specification provides a description of the test deliverables and design-for-test guidelines for VC providers. It refines and extends all test-related information contained in VSIA's architecture document.
