Oakland County's OakVideo Wins CIO Magazine Top 100 Award; JDS' New Curiax™ Digital Arraignment Software Platform Derived From OakVideo

NORCROSS, Ga. -- Justice Digital Solutions LLC (JDS) - the Simtrol, Inc. (OTCBB: SMRL) and Integrated Digital Systems joint venture - today announced that CIO Magazine, a publication distributed to 140,000 IT leaders worldwide, has selected Michigan's Oakland County Information Technology's OakVideo digital arraignment system as one of its CIO 100 award winners for 2006. In a unique technical and licensing relationship with Oakland County, JDS is advancing this application as part of a national sales and marketing rollout with IBM and Mainline Information Systems beginning August 1.

Building on the successful OakVideo software, JDS' Curiax Arraigner(TM) is a unified solution that tracks and records all prisoner case information - audio, video, documents, evidence, and electronic signatures into a digital case file that provides efficient processing from booking through arraignment and eliminates the inherent dangers associated with prisoner transport. The entire Arraigner solution pays for itself in approximately 12 to 18 months and continues to provide significant dollar savings and safety benefits every year thereafter.

Derived from the Latin phrase "amicus curiae", meaning "friend of the court", Curiax Arraigner customers will enjoy the same benefits experienced by Oakland County including: increased safety at courts, jails, and holding cells by virtually eliminating offender transport; demonstrable return on investment for counties by reducing costs of incarceration, transportation, and payroll costs; increased productivity by enabling law enforcement agencies to prepare booking documents online and create digital case files on a central server; and, allowing redeployment of officers to street duty to increase first responder capabilities.

Oakland County was selected for the CIO 100 Award through a three-step process. First, an online application was completed detailing the innovative practices in both business and IT. Next, teams of CIO magazine editors and writers reviewed the applications in depth, looking for unique practices and substantial results. Finally, the teams met for a daylong meeting to debate the merits of each nominee and then vote on the final 100.

Oakland County will receive its award from CIO magazine at the CIO 100 Symposium and Awards Ceremony, August 20-22, 2006 in Coronado, California.
