MINNEAPOLIS -- Senior Executive Brings Growth Management and Finance Experience to Emerging Leader in Innovative Midrange Data Storage Solutions
Compellent Technologies, a provider of affordable and modular enterprise storage solutions, today announced the appointment of Jack Judd as its chief financial officer (CFO). Judd brings more than 20 years of finance and management experience to the company.
In his new role, Judd will be responsible for managing Compellent's financial strategies. The appointment comes at a time of significant growth for the company as it continues to acquire new business partners and meet domestic and international demand for its award-winning storage area network, Storage Center(R).
"Jack's financial knowledge and expertise in high-growth business environments and the public markets will serve as a significant asset for Compellent and its senior management team in building our continued success. We welcome him on board," said Phil Soran, chief executive officer of Compellent.
Prior to joining Compellent, Judd served as CFO for ATS, a medical device manufacturer, leading the company through a period of accelerated growth and raising capital through equity and debt. Judd also held the position of controller for American Medical Systems, another high-growth medical device manufacturer, where he played a key role in the company's successful initial public offering and follow-on offering. Additionally, Judd has held a variety of sales operations and finance management positions, including CFO within the Autoglass division of Apogee Enterprises, a glass technology company.
"I'm thrilled to be joining Compellent during such an exciting time," said Judd. "I look forward to developing a strong financial team to support Compellent's rapid ascent as a leader in enterprise storage."
Judd has both a Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., and is a certified public accountant.
