FusionOne Demonstrates New Client and Server at OMA TestFest; FusionOne's Clients and Server Demonstrate Compatibility with OMA Data Synchronization Version 1.2 Specification

Business Wire,  Oct 24, 2005

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- FusionOne, a leading provider of premium mobile services which help users protect, access and manage the personal content on their mobile phones, today reaffirmed the compatibility of its server and client technologies with the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Data Synchronization version 1.2 Enabler at OMA's 5th TestFest held in Seoul, Korea. The TestFest events are designed to allow member companies to test their prospective products and services against the specifications of OMA's Enabler Release program.

FusionOne's DS 1.2-compatible solution features improvements in two main areas: the end user's sync experience and the inclusion of additional data types. From the end user's standpoint, FusionOne's solution now offers server-initiated synchronization, meaning that the server will automatically trigger a sync session with the user's device whenever a change is detected. Additionally, if a session is interrupted for any reason, the server can automatically resume the session from the point of interruption. FusionOne's solution now also includes the ability to sync files, folders, and email in addition to the contacts, calendar, tasks and notes data types supported in previous versions. This addition provides support synchronizing the user's ring tones, pictures and other large data types.

"Successfully completing the series of tests highlights FusionOne's ongoing participation in the OMA standardization process and our commitment to helping wireless operators bring new services to market quickly and efficiently," said Rick Onyon, founder and CEO of FusionOne. "We are pleased to be recognized by the OMA as a leader in the development of DS 1.2-compliant products."
