General Informatics Wins National Microsoft Contest for Its Commitment to Supporting Small Businesses' Technology Needs

BATON ROUGE, La. -- General Informatics, a Baton Rouge based IT solution provider was selected as the winner of the national Microsoft "Partner in Paradise" competition. General Informatics was chosen from more than 400 entries to win the competition and a trip to Maui based upon their implementation of a technology solution for Advanced Surgical Concepts, a Baton Rouge based medical center.
The contest was created by Microsoft to acknowledge the more than 6,000 U.S. partners enrolled within its small business Partner Engagement Program. This group of IT professionals focuses on helping fulfill the technology needs of smaller companies by capitalizing on the business value achieved through Microsoft Small Business stack of software such as Windows(R) Small Business Server 2003, Windows(R) XP Professional, Office Small Business Edition 2003 and related applications.

General Informatics' contest entry focused on their work with Advanced Surgical Concepts. In September Microsoft will be flying all the employees of General Informatics to Hawaii with a four night stay at the Kea Lani Resort, Maui. The value of the total award is estimated at $40,000.
