COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Intelliden Corporation, the intelligent networking company, today announced that v4.1 of the Intelliden R-Series(R) software suite enables Juniper Networks customers to easily embrace the industry migration to policy-based IP MPLS network management. In addition, the Intelliden R-Series v4.1 software suite enables Juniper Networks customers to optimize their network infrastructure in order to handle advanced applications and services -- such as VoIP, mobile and broadband -- that require real-time quality of service, high availability and robust security.

VoIP, mobile and broadband applications and services have become a reality today at leading enterprises, government agencies and service providers around the world. The Intelliden R-Series award-winning software suite enables network managers to provide these complex converged services in a secure, reliable, scalable and automated fashion. Intelliden's software will also help Juniper Networks customers deliver a complicated mix of converged applications and services to their end users in a simplified and straightforward manner.

"Juniper Networks, Intelliden and other leading companies are aligned around the vision of building network infrastructure that reliably converges a wide variety of applications and services across an IP MPLS core," said Glen Tindal, Intelliden chief technology officer. "By working together we are accelerating the industry's move to policy-based network and service management. Juniper's customers can leverage the Intelliden R-Series to dynamically link their business priorities, such as VPN service activation, with their network in order to automatically respond to changing business needs."

Intelliden is the world's first network software vendor with a model-driven intelligent networking approach; the foundation for an extensible platform that provides network automation. Device support is achieved by utilizing an automated device-modeling capability that parses the existing command syntax of a device and translates the device commands into an XML-based schema. This schema depicts the command structure of the device. This process captures all device commands. This includes all documented and undocumented -- or hidden -- commands and associates them with the appropriate configuration options.

"We are pleased to have Intelliden as a long standing member of the OSS Solutions Alliance Program," said Tony Scarfo, Vice President of Partner Management, Juniper Networks. "The combination of Intelliden's service activation and network configuration software with our routing platforms enables our customers to add an important layer of automation to their provisioning and network management initiatives."

The Intelliden R-Series multi-vendor software solution available via a Web-based interface, or the industry's first open and extensible APIs, which enable it to be embedded within other applications. These open APIs allow companies and organizations to share and reuse logical and physical network configuration, network security and service activation information. The Intelliden R-Series suite provides seamless identification, analysis and resolution of systems and networking issues that can threaten the network configuration, network provisioning, network security and network compliance of strategic IP networks.
