EPA officials, along with Congressman Jeff Miller, will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the dedication of a new Research Support and Administration building at EPA's research laboratory on Sabine Island in Gulf Breeze, Florida at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2002.

The ceremony will mark the completion of the $1.6 million, 10,000 square-foot facility, used in support of research to protect the nation's coastal wetlands and estuaries.

    WHO:    Congressman Jeff Miller and the following EPA officials:
            Dr. Paul Gilman, Assistant Administrator for Research and
            Development; Mr. James I. Palmer, Regional Administrator
            for Region 4 in Atlanta, GA; Mr. Gregg A. Cooke, Regional
            Administrator for Region 6 in Dallas, TX;
            Mr. James B. Gulliford, Regional Administrator for
            Region 7 in Kansas City, KS; and Mr. David O'Connor,
            Deputy Assistant Administrator for the Agency's Office of
            Administration and Resource Management in Washington, DC
