NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 16, 2002

Beginning Monday, August 19, AOL Music First Listen will feature the worldwide exclusive premiere of the Dixie Chicks' new song "Landslide." For two days, "Landslide" will be available to AOL members and Web music fans at AOL Keyword: First Listen, Netscape Music (music.netscape.com), AIM Today, ICQ and CompuServe, as well as AOL's international affiliates.

Originally performed by Fleetwood Mac, "Landslide" will appear on the Dixie Chicks' forthcoming album, Home, which will debut at retail on Tuesday, August 27th.

The Dixie Chicks critically acclaimed first release with Sony Music, Wide Open Spaces, (1998) became the best-selling debut album in the history of countrymusic, earning the RIAA Diamond Award (given for sales in excess of 10 million units). Released in August 1999, the Dixie Chicks follow-up release, Fly, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and Country Albums Charts and went on to spend over 30 weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Country Chart, and to earn album awards from the Grammys, the Country Music Association, the Academy of Country music, the British Country Music Awards and the Billboard Awards. Fly has also earned the RIAA Diamond Award, making the Dixie Chicks the only female group in history to accrue two of these prestigious awards.

AOL Music's First Listen program has emerged as a premier outlet for music's hottest stars to exclusively debut new music. From Brandy to Bruce Springsteen to Moby, First Listen lets music fans hear new songs from their favorite artists before they are available anywhere else. First Listen offers artists a compelling and coveted opportunity to reach a global audience through AOL Keyword: First Listen, AOL Music's network of music sites on Netscape, AOL Instant Messenger's AIM Today, ICQ and CompuServe, as well as AOL's international affiliates in countries around the world.
