WILSON, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--August 1, 2001
Nurses on wheels? That's what home care provider, Interim HealthCare, is referring to with a new mobile billboard campaign deriving from one of their leading franchise locations in Wilson, North Carolina. This new outdoor advertising venture, spearheaded by Interim HealthCare franchise owner, John Morris, is designed to increase awareness of the 35-year-old brand name, Interim HealthCare, in Mr. Morris' North Carolina marketplace. A fleet of Volkswagens wrapped in an advertisement promoting home health care services will target seniors and their adult children who travel in automobiles throughout the state.
Mr. Morris has come up with an innovative way to implement his vehicle promotion program. He will pay his qualifying employees a car allowance to drive the vehicles, reimbursing their monthly lease payment and mileage. He states, "Supervisors, area managers and some caregivers routinely travel about 1,000 miles per month. Employees driving an Interim HealthCare bug will reach a large viewing audience of thousands of commuters each day. It's a powerful advertising vehicle and we're looking forward to increasing the awareness of our services throughout the community." "From a retention standpoint, this will be a great incentive for some of our nurses during this time where everyone is affected by the nursing shortage. We're excited to have the opportunity to offer this new benefit to some of our top employees."
Linda Shaub, Senior Director of Marketing at Interim HealthCare's corporate headquarters, helped implement the project for the North Carolina office by contracting with Free Car Media, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in wrapped vehicles, to create a design consistent with Interim HealthCare's brand. She states, "This is an effective way to reach our target audience. Other companies have used this method of advertising, but I'm not aware of any other national home health agency that has taken this approach. John Morris has set a great example for our entire franchise network and we're hoping it is contagious and our other offices consider launching their own rolling billboard campaigns."
Interim HealthCare is the nation's largest combined provider of home health care and supplemental staffing services with nearly 300 offices throughout the United States and Brazil.
