Fitel Technologies, Inc. Names Telecommunications Industry Veteran John F. Rogers as Chief Executive Officer

Fitel Technologies, Inc., a developer and supplier of optical components for the communication industry, today announced the appointment of John F. Rogers, a 22-year veteran of the telecommunications industry, as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Prior to his new position at Fitel, Rogers was Director of Market Management & OEM Sales for Lucent Technologies in Norcross, Georgia. Rogers brings to Fitel over two decades worth of experience in building successful, customer-focused organizations with a proven track record in national and international product marketing and sales.

As CEO, Rogers will be responsible for working with the management team to lead the company's overall strategic direction and identify new business opportunities in key market segments.

Before Lucent, Rogers spent 11 years at Fitel Lucent Technologies in Carrollton, Georgia, where in 1995 he was appointed Vice President of Product Management and Marketing. In this position, Rogers was responsible for the development and management of customer oriented activities, including sales and marketing, customer service, product management, and field engineering.

Rogers also spent 10 years at General Cable Company, where he held various Sales and Marketing positions in the Fiber Optics, Telecommunications Cable, and Apparatus Divisions in North America.
