Business Wire,  Sept 9, 1999

BOCA RATON, Fla. & GLENDALE, Calif.--(BW HealthWire)--Sept. 9, 1999--

Cybear, Inc. (Nasdaq:CYBA), the Internet-based portal and provider of healthcare communications and applications, and Oracle Management Services, Inc. today announced they have entered into an agreement for Cybear to become the communications solution provider to 3,000 Oracle-affiliated practicing physicians located in California. Oracle is the parent company of Thrifty Health Care, a leading Management Services Organization (MSO) in California.

Using its Internet product designed for physicians, Cybear provides an intranet or private network which connects Oracle providers to a Cybear-Oracle co-branded home page and delivers a set of office, clinical practice, and administrative tools and applications to help physicians in their practice. Cybear also provides email capabilities as well as Internet access. Cybear's private network will be accessible to an initial group of Oracle physicians associated with Preferred IPA in September.

"Cybear's secure network allows the Internet to play a critical role in connecting our healthcare providers for credentialing, information sharing, moving clinical information and taking advantage of many e-commerce initiatives," said Hamid Tab, president and chief executive officer of Oracle Management Services.

Ed Goldman, M.D., president and chief executive officer of Cybear, said, "We are happy to add Oracle to our community of physicians who are using Cybear to provide online communication and practice management tools. Oracle chose Cybear knowing full well the other options that currently exist."

Cybear, Inc., headquartered in Boca Raton, Fla., is an information technology company using the Internet to improve the efficiency of administrative and communications tasks of managing patient care. Cybear provides access to the Internet and the Cybear product line through its own Internet service provider (ISP) system, delivering productivity applications to physicians, physician organizations, pharmacies, and hospitals and health information to consumers - while addressing the healthcare industry's critical need for secure and reliable transmission of information.
