Myers Develops Web Connection to Calyx Software's POINT for Windows
Business Wire, Oct 5, 1997
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 5, 1997--Myers Internet Services announced today at this year's Mortgage Bankers Association annual convention that they have successfully developed a web interface for POINT for Windows by Calyx Software. This interface, known as Loanzapp(tm), will allow users of POINT mortgage origination software to import loan applications that consumers fill out at a lender's web site directly into POINT.
"Internet originations are increasing rapidly, and our customers are looking for more efficient ways to process their web-generated leads," said Warren Myer, CEO of Myers Internet Services. "After two years of research, we have developed a unique loan application called Loanzapp which combines the best features of a pre-qualification form and a full 1003 loan application."
POINT for Windows users can test Loanzapp at http://loanapp.mortgage-net.com/demo/calyx. The user is asked to enter their email address and to complete a pre-qualification form. Upon completing the pre-qualification, the user is given a choice of completing the full loan application or exiting. If the user chooses to complete the full loan application, they are presented with three additional input screens.
Whether the user completes only the pre-qualification or the full loan application, a POINT compatible data file is generated using a MIME attachment that can be read by the majority of email clients including Eudora, Netscape Mail, Internet Mail, America Online and Pegasus.
Myers will shortly release interfaces for other popular software origination packages including Genesis 2000, Contour, Dynatek and MortgageWare. "We chose to complete our WEB EDI interface to POINT first because POINT is the leading software package in the market with over 8,000 licensed sites," added Myer. Calyx Software recently released version 3.0 of POINT for Windows, the most significant upgrade in three years.
"Users will reap the many benefits provided by POINT for Windows and a Myers website, as well as a seamless connection between the two," said Calyx Software Director of Marketing Donna Love. "This is a definite example of an investment in technology that pays immediate dividends." POINT for Windows is complete mortgage origination, processing, and management software with no annual fees and no extra modules.
Myers plans additional web-based products for POINT users, including the ability to post loan status and lock rates on the web. This will enable consumers to review loan status information via the Internet.
