BBDO Detroit wins prestigious awards for its creative work

SOUTHFIELD, Mich.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 26, 1996--BBDO Detroit, one the nation's leading advertising agencies, received awards from the International Automotive Advertising Agency and the New York International TV Festival for its outstanding television and print ads featuring Dodge Caravan, Dodge Neon and Dodge Stratus.

BBDO Detroit won more awards than any other U.S. advertising agency at the International Automotive Advertising Awards, which were held on January 3. The big win for BBDO Detroit was its advertising for the Dodge Caravan, chosen as a winner in every Minivan television and print category.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO UK, a business partner of BBDO Detroit, was the only other agency worldwide that walked away with more awards for television advertising than BBDO Detroit. This provided BBDO with a first and second place win nationally and internationally.

BBDO also received a major award for its Brand "Changes" commercial as well as creative honors for the Dodge Stratus and Dodge Caravan campaigns during the New York International TV Festival, held on January 12.

BBDO Detroit produces advertisements for several auto accounts including: Dodge Car and Truck; Mopar Performance; Dodge California & Northeast Marketing; and 38 Dodge Dealer Associations. As the national headquarters for the BBDO organization, the Detroit office has created award-winning ads for the past 50 years.

During 1995, BBDO Detroit won a total of 43 national and international competitions including: the Clio Awards; the New York International Film & TV, Print Festival; the International Automotive Advertising Awards; the American Marketing Association's Effies; and the Mobius Advertising Awards.
