Multicassette digital X-ray system

Health Management Technology,  Dec, 2005

Kodak has launched the DIRECTVIEW CR 975 computed radiography (CR) digital X-ray capture system. The multicassette platform simultaneously holds up to eight rigid cassettes queued for processing and another eight ready for imaging, which it can process at a rate of 100 per hour. The system features new noise suppression algorithms that upgrade the image quality in low-contrast areas. An internal central processing unit (CPU) and an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) keep the system up even during network and power outages. Once images are processed, they can automatically be sent to predetermined destinations. In conjunction with the Remote Operations Panel, study functions can be performed in the examination room, and with Kodak's Remote Management Services, Kodak technicians can remotely troubleshoot and maintain CR systems.
