US Airways Group makes suggestions to customers with regard to merger

Airline Industry Information,  Sept 27, 2005

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

US Airways Group Inc has issued a number of tips to its customers to make travel smooth immediately following the merger between America West Airlines (NYSE: AWA) and US Airways (OTC Bulletin Board: UAIRQ).

The company said that customers should continue to book directly with US Airways or America West as before the merger and the websites, http://www.americawest.com and http://www.usairways.com, will operate separately in the short term, as will the two airlines' reservations systems. Customers should also check their e-ticket or paper ticket, which will indicate which airline operates their flight, and they should check in with that airline even when flying from an airport served by both America West and US Airways.
