Iberia to launch low-cost airline - report

AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD
Spanish flagship carrier Iberia will launch a low-cost airline at the beginning of next year, Spanish newspaper ABC reported on Thursday (21 July).
The new carrier may be called "Mediterranea" and will have its hub in the Spanish city of Barcelona, the paper said.
Iberia is still considering the option to launch a low cost carrier, but it has made no decision yet, said a spokesperson for Iberia.
