AIRLINE INDUSTRY INFORMATION-(C)1997-2004 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Thai low-cost carrier Nok Air is to launch new flights between Bangkok-Phuket and Bangkok-Phitsanulok in October 2004, using Boeing 737-400 aircraft.

Ticket prices for the new flights have been set at THB1,150 to THB2,350 one way.

The prices undercut Thai Airways but are more expensive than other low-cost carriers on the route. A spokesperson for Nok Air said that it was very excited to be able to launch flights to such a renowned destination as Phuket, reported Thailand's The Nation.
