A 19-year-old has appeared in court charged with making hoax radio transmissions to aircraft and the control tower at Australia's Perth airport.
The man has been charged with using a transmitter in a way likely to interfere with radio communications after allegedly making a number of bogus transmissions on radio control frequencies. The transmissions claimed to be from aircraft seeking clearances to enter controlled airspace, land, and cross active runways.
The man has been bailed to appear in court again in three weeks' time.
