United Mileage Plus members to earn miles for opening Fidelity Investments account

United Mileage Plus and Fidelity Investments have formed an agreement which enables the airline's Mileage Plus members to earn miles towards free travel.

Under the agreement, Mileage Plus members will earn miles for opening a new brokerage account at Fidelity. By opening an account, members can earn 5,000 miles for a deposit of between USD2,500 and USD9,999; 15,000 miles for USD10,000 to USD49,999, and 25,000 miles for deposits of USD50,000 and over.
