Alaska Airlines has revealed plans to cut up to 9% of its management staff, a total of up to 150 jobs.
The carrier is aiming to reduce its annual costs by between USD5m and USD10m by having fewer layers of management in its organisation.
A voluntary severance package including one year of health care cover and travel benefits will be on offer.
The cuts are due to be completed by spring 2005, reported The Associated Press.
