Delta Air Lines introduces temporary baggage restriction for Latin American destinations

Delta Air Lines, a US carrier, has introduced a change to its baggage policy for flights to certain Latin American cities during the holiday travel season.
From 1 November 2001 through 15 January 2002, the carrier will limit the total number of checked and carry-on items as well as the weight and size parameters for these items. Passengers will be allowed a maximum of two checked bags and one carry-on item (plus one personal item).
The restriction is applicable on all flights to Bogota, Colombia; Caracas, Venezuela; Guadalajara, Mexico; Guatemala City, Guatemala; Lima, Peru; Mexico City, Mexico; Panama City, Panama; San Jose, Costa Rica; and San Salvador, El Salvador.
