Air Canada is cutting economy class fares by up to 80% on short-haul flights in western Canada.
The move is aimed at winning back customers who have switched to rival low-cost carriers.
The fares, available for purchase now, start at CAD57 for a one-way flight between Edmonton and Calgary, CAD83 for Calgary-Vancouver and CAD94 for Vancouver-Edmonton. The new prices are effective for travel beginning 4 September.
