White light solution - Brief Article

Ear, Nose & Throat Journal,  Feb, 2001

The 00-9300SYS Xenon Light Source System by Luxtec Corp. consists of a 300-watt light source with Wolf port, and the UltraliteTM Headlight System. Suitable for the operating theater or office, this economical Xenon light source provides a bright, white light, eliminating the blue tint of a metal halide or the yellow tint of halogen.

The system uses straight or bifurcated fiberoptic headlight cable. Surgeons can choose the lightweight plastic headband or the new sweatband made with PolartecTM. Other options include rotating light-source turrets with ports for four cable styles, the Ultralite PIusTM lightweight headlight cable, and the optional Luxtec floor stand for maximum mobility.
