THE International Air Rail Organisation, in association with the International Air Transport Association (IATA) has set up a new website: www.airportrailwaysoftheworld.com.
The website is designed to help users to find which airports have rail connections, and what type they are. It gives the name, website, email address, and help-line number of the airport operator and the railway operator or operators where this is available.
Users can search by city, airport name (Gatwick for example), airport three-letter IATA code (LHR for example), country, or type of rail connection. The latter are categorised as dedicated high-speed, high-speed network, regional, suburban, metro, light rail, or bus link to nearby station.
Users can also search other fields. For example, enter Flytog to find the rail link to Oslo Airport because this is its brand name.
The site is available in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, but search results are only available in English.
