Concannon Vineyards in Livermore, CA, has released its 2001 Concannon Heritage Petite Sirah. The winery says the petite sirah has "the best of the best" petite sirah grapes from its vineyard, and was then aged 29 months in French and American oak. Classic big, brawny flavors of ripe blackberry, dark plum and blueberry give way to spice and ripe black cherries.
