A new website created by London web designer Alfie Dennan has been launched in the UK, called 'We're Not Afraid', to provide Londoners with a voice after the 7 July bomb attacks on the city.
The new site, at http://www.werenotafraid.com, has reportedly been overwhelmed with messages from around the world, so far receiving approximately 300,000 hits from countries including Spain, Italy and Africa.
According to the BBC, the idea for the new website came from a picture of one of the bombed trains that was sent from a mobile phone to Dennan's own weblog, with someone else adding the words 'We're Not Afraid'.

Approximately 3,500 photos have been sent to the website in the past few days, ranging from holiday snaps to doctored pictures of London buses and Tube stations, all containing the 'We are not afraid' message, reported the BBC. According to Dennan the site has now become a symbol for people to show solidarity with London and say they will not be cowed by the bombings.
