Virgin.net sets up direct debit billing service

Internet Business News,  Oct 10, 2002

INTERNET BUSINESS NEWS-(C)1995-2002 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Virgin.net is apparently the first UK ISP to offer its customers direct debit billing, allowing customers to have greater control over their details and reducing the likelihood of interest charges.

New users can open an account and existing customers can set up the direct debit service on the company's web site, although the first payment will have to be made by credit card while the details are being processed.

The new billing system - which was set up as a direct response to customer feedback - and details of other services provided by Virgin can be found on the company's web site at http://www.virgin.net.
