The UK Inland Revenue's self assessment web site is online again after a security scare caused it to close down.
Visitors to the site in May were able to access information filled out by other people doing their tax returns. The problem was reportedly caused by a glitch with the session cookies.
Out of 27,967 people who had visited the site since 6 April, 47 users had their details compromised and information about a further 665 people may have been seen.
According to the Inland Revenue the people affected have been sent apologies and the problem has now been fixed.
