New Abbey National on-line banking solution announced

A joint effort between IBM and Fiserv has culminated in the launch of cahoot, Abbey National's new, seperately banded interactive bank.
cahoot utilizes a multi-channel e-banking solution which is based on the Corepoint Banking System solution that allows users to access information and services through the Internet. The Internet service is due to be launched in late Spring with support for digital TV coming later. Eventualy it will be possible to access the same service through wireless devices such as mobile phones or digital handsets.

Said to be aimed at attracting a completely new customer base, the new on-line banking service is already aimed at wireless users who, according to various analysts, will be more numerous than PC users come 2003.
