pres.co develops new e-banking service for Abbey National

UK business and communications systems provider pres.co has launched an interactive electronic banking service on Open for Abbey National.

The service went live yesterday (31 July) and enables the bank's customers to check balances, move money instantly between linked accounts, pay bills and adjust regular payment arrangements at any time via a digital TV. Abbey National intends to extend the service to other providers, including Cable and Wireless, NTL, OnDigital and Telewest, by the end of the year.

pres.co, which recently merged with film site developer Foresight into a group, has also worked with Abbey National on the Internet and WAP platforms during the last 18 months.
