NORTEL NETWORKS will build a digital wireless network in the Amazon region, covering the states of Amazonas, Para, Roraima, Amapa and Maranhao, for Nortel Brasil Telecom, a consortium formed by Brazilian companies Centro Oeste Celular and Inepar. The three-year deal is worth $60 million.
