PETROBRAS, Brazil's state-run oil company, entered an agreement with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and other institutions in Japan to finance projects in Brazil. Among these will include a US$900 million modernization of a refinery in Sao Paulo state.
