Eat early
Vegetarian Times, June, 2004
Those who eat big breakfasts consume fewer calories in a day than those who eat more modest morning meals or skip breakfast altogether, according to the March 2004 Tufts Health & Nutrition Newsletter. "Starting off the day with a nutritious breakfast possibly prevents overeating later in the day," says Larry Lindner, editor of the newsletter.
Of course, "yogurt, whole-grain toast or cereals, and fruit are preferable to bacon and hash browns."
