DaimlerChrysler and Lagardere cut stake in EADS

WASHINGTON (AFP) — The German-US group DaimlerChrysler announced that it would cut its stake in the EADS defence group to 22.5 percent from 30 percent and that French group Lagardere was reducing its 15 percent stake by half.
DaimlerChrysler said the sale decision was taken by the group's board at a meeting in Stuttgart, Germany.
It estimated the value of its shares to be sold in European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) at 2.0 billion euros (2.4 billion dollars).
