SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE funds are betraying their mandate by investing in the same stocks everyone else likes, according to environmental researcher Paul Hawken.
Hawken's San Francisco-based Natural Capital Institute (NCI) crunched the numbers on 602 SRI funds and found that, taken as a whole, the group's holdings were "virtually no different" from those of conventional mutual funds.
