GE Toshiba Organic Silicon of Japan is constructing a silicon rubber joint venture plant in Shenzhen. The new company is named Shenzhen GE Toshiba Organic Silicon Co., Ltd. The Chinese partner Shenzhen Guanghua Enterprise Development Co., Ltd. holds 49% equity and the foreign side holds 51% equity. The investment of the new company is around US$6.0 million and the initial employment is 150. Major products are used in sectors of building materials, electric appliances, automobiles and medical apparatuses.
