Guangzhou Petrochemical, a subsidiary of Sinopec in South China, started an overhaul on February 24, and currently retains a daily oil processing amount of 7 500 tons, at an operation rate of 36%. According to a source, the overhaul was planned previously, and not dependent on other factors. The planned overhaul lead by the 150 000 t/a ethylene unit will last until the end of March, so the company currently has lower oil import.
