PetroChina made a sound overall performance in 2002. The price trend of PetroChina in Hong Kong Stock Exchange Center in 2002 roughly had three stages.

In the first stage of January-April, PetroChina's price was remained at HK$1.39 per share for 2 months, and began to go sharply up from March. An adjustment was started thereafter at around HK$1.60 until late April.
